Why I Chose Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach

As part of my May 2025 USA trip, I’ve decided to try out a few luxury hotels that have been on my radar. One of them is the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach. It’s a top-selling property for us and also very popular with our clients who live in Florida—they often use it as a go-to spot for a staycation.

What to Expect from a Preferred Partner Booking

Just like I offer my clients, I booked my stay using a Four Seasons Preferred Partner rate, which includes:

  • Daily full breakfast for two, served either in the restaurant or through In-Room Dining

  • USD 100 hotel credit per stay for rooms, or USD 200 for suites and residences

  • Upgrade of one category, based on availability at check-in

  • Welcome note at check-in acknowledging you and your agency

  • Exclusive offers (as of May 2025), including:

    • Guaranteed Upgrade (April 21 – October 31, 2025) with stays of 4+ nights

    • Fourth Night Free on select dates

    • Experience More — nightly resort credit up to USD 300

    • Advance Purchase — up to 20% off

  • Special discounted rates for Florida residents

If you want to enjoy these benefits and more on your next Palm Beach getaway, reach out to me—I don’t charge any booking fees and always offer the best price or will match any lower rate you find. Let me take care of your booking so you get the best deal and upgrades available.

Understanding Rates at Four Seasons Palm Beach

Rates at Four Seasons Palm Beach can vary quite a bit depending on the time of year, local demand, and weather patterns. Here’s a quick guide to help you understand what affects pricing and when you might find the best deals:

  • Winter and Spring (High Season): This is when Palm Beach is at its most popular—mild, sunny weather makes it perfect for beach days and outdoor dining. Expect higher rates during these months (roughly November through April) because demand is strong from snowbirds and travelers escaping colder climates.

  • Summer (Low Season): Summer in Palm Beach can get very hot and humid, with temperatures often climbing into the high 80s and 90s (Fahrenheit). Plus, there’s a higher chance of afternoon thunderstorms. This leads to fewer visitors and lower hotel rates, so you can often find great deals if you don’t mind the heat.

  • Shoulder Seasons: Late spring and early fall can offer a sweet spot between weather and pricing. Rates may be more affordable than winter but with less intense heat than summer.

  • Weekdays vs. Weekends: Weekends usually see higher rates as both leisure travelers and locals book getaways. If your schedule is flexible, midweek stays can sometimes save you money.

Booking through me means you get access to exclusive partner rates, plus benefits like upgrades and hotel credits.

About the Location

Palm Beach is extremely easy to get around — it is essentially a long skinny island with beaches bordering every part. This is a premier US neighborhood, home to some of the most expensive houses in the country. The island is full of great restaurants and fashion boutiques. It really feels like living on a tropical island, with palm trees everywhere and soft tones of peach, pink pastels, and more. For me, I visit at least once a year. I just love the laid back lifestyle the area offers.

The Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach is tucked away on the southern end of the island, right on a quiet stretch of beach that feels super private and peaceful.

The resort is only 15 minutes from Palm Beach International Airport, which is served by all the major airlines — United, American, Southwest, Delta, and even Air Canada — from all over the US and Canada. Keep in mind many flights are seasonal. Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport is about 55 minutes down the road and offers more destinations, especially international ones. All in all, the resort is very easy to get to.

I came in from Orlando, and the drive was easy down the Turnpike, which is the main highway running down the middle of Florida. Even on Memorial Day Monday, it took just over two hours.

Check-In Experience

Check-in was smooth and friendly. I opted for valet parking at $50 USD per night—there didn’t seem to be any self-parking option available. My room was ready on time, and I was welcomed with a glass of champagne on arrival, which was a nice touch after a traveling down from Orlando that morning.

Room Tour and Ocean View Upgrade

I originally booked a Palm View Room, which, as per Four Seasons Preferred Partner benefits, was eligible for a one category upgrade based on availability at check-in. I got lucky and received a three category upgrade to a top floor Ocean View Room.

Most guestrooms at this property are similar in size. What really sets them apart is the view and how close you are to the pool or beach.
Being on the top floor meant sweeping ocean views, and I could even see the ocean right from the bed, which was a nice touch. I would’ve loved to sleep with the sliding door open to hear the waves, but at this time of year, it wasn’t possible due to mosquitoes.
If you’re on a lower floor, you might not get the same view, but you’d basically step right out of your room and be at the pool, thanks to direct step access. For families, the hotel does a great job with connecting rooms. You can effectively turn two guestrooms into a spacious two bedroom suite.

Design wise, the Palm Beach aesthetic carries through with pastel colored carpets, soft green walls, and curtains. It feels light and airy throughout.

Room Highlights

  • Closet area with plenty of hangers (including trouser hangers), a safe, Four Seasons slippers, laundry bag, iron, and ironing board
  • Four Seasons bed – I’ve stayed with all the major luxury hotel brands, and Four Seasons still has my favorite bed and linen. After two weeks of heavy travel, I checked in feeling burnt out and after just one night, I felt totally refreshed
  • Mini bar – Fully stocked with sodas, various waters (including coconut water), wine, beer, candy, and chips
  • Coffee and tea setup – Nespresso pod machine, electric kettle, and a great tea selection
  • Workspace – No dedicated desk, but the dining table with nearby power outlets worked perfectly for getting some work done
  • Bathroom – Fluffy towels, deep bathmats (you really feel the Four Seasons quality), a deep soaking tub, separate shower, three-sided vanity mirror, and even bathroom scales. There’s also a small makeup area with its own three-sided mirror
  • Furnished ocean view terrace – A small table and chairs overlooking the beach. This became my go-to coffee spot each morning, and my dog loved lounging in the sun here
  • One minor downside – No light switches near the bed, so I had to get up and walk to the entrance door to turn the lights off each night
  • Mini bar – Fully stocked with sodas, various waters (including coconut water), wine, beer, candy, and chips

Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach: Amenities & Highlights

The Beach and Pool Scene
The resort sits right on the beach and offers a relaxed, luxurious vibe. There are two pools: a well-sized main pool for families (with inflatable toys), and just behind a hedge next to this, an adults-only pool for anyone wanting a quieter space. Sunbeds around both pools are complimentary and easy to access, and there are also cabana-type structures. Many of the loungers have ocean and beach views.

The pool area is well staffed, and they have little table buzzers so you can easily call someone over to take your food or drink order. At the family pool, there were inflatables in the water and it looked like everyone was having a great time.

The resort also has direct access to the beach, where you’ll find more loungers available to rent for around $300 a day. It’s a bit of a splurge, but the beach is honestly stunning. The waves are just big enough to make that relaxing sound as they wash up onto the shore. Food and drink service is available at both the pools and the beach.

You’ll also find beach games like paddleboarding and volleyball.

Family and Kids Amenities

I don’t travel with a family, but many of my clients do, so I always pay attention to how well a resort caters to children. I was genuinely impressed by what Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach offers:

  • A Kids For All Seasons Club, open daily for ages 4 to 12, with supervised indoor and outdoor play, crafts, and activities.

  • A Teens Room with video games and a relaxed space to hang out.

  • For older kids (and everyone else), there’s a putting green, billiards, and outdoor table tennis.

While it’s not hard to find a resort that works well for younger kids, it’s rare to find one that also keeps teens happy—and Four Seasons really delivers here.

One idea I had for families planning a Florida vacation: consider pairing a stay at Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach, which ticks all the beach and pool boxes, with a stay at Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World® Resort, just two hours down the road and perfectly located for the theme parks. Together, they’d make for a well-rounded, luxury family trip.

Full Spa Review at Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach

The spa is spacious and sleek, with clean lines and a black-and-grey palette. Personally, I would’ve liked to see more of the pastel tones and indoor palms that give the rest of the hotel its charm—but overall, it’s a calming, high-end space.

Spa Layout
Changing rooms – Stocked with everything: multiple sinks, shaving cream, aloe gel, a hot towel warmer, and more.
Lockers – Super clean and no musty smell, which you sometimes get in spa changing areas.
Shower setup – An eight-nozzle shower that sprays from all angles.
Jacuzzi – Located in a single-sex area. It actually took me until day two to find the jet button—it’s tucked around the corner.
Iced face towels and cucumber – These little touches really do make a difference.
Steam room – Very spacious. It was great when empty, though occasionally a bit noisy depending on who else was using it.
Gentleman’s lounge – Comfy daybeds and plenty of water to relax post-spa.
Pre-treatment area – Light snacks like almonds, goji berries, and granola, plus three different types of tea.

We didn’t have time for treatments on this visit, but the spa reception had a good range of products if you’re looking to bring a bit of the experience home.

Note: The sauna isn’t in the spa itself—it’s actually over in the gym, which is in a separate (underground) part of the building. Just something to keep in mind if you’re planning a full spa day.

Gym at Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach

I did visit the gym – after my trip the week before to Louisiana, which involved plenty of gumbo and crawfish, it felt necessary. The gym had a solid selection of equipment, mostly Matrix brand. It’s a large space and seemed to have all the key pieces you’d expect, with more than enough treadmills and three Peloton bikes for anyone who prefers a ride.

To one side of the gym, there’s a dedicated room for classes. There’s also a fridge stocked with bottled water, plus a refreshment bar with coffee, fresh fruit (bananas and apples), and a selection of water available at different temperatures. The little details really do count.

The changing room, like the spa,was extensive, with lotions and other bathroom amenities readily available. This is also where you’ll find the hotel’s sauna, tucked into the same area.

Dining Options at the Resort

One of the highlights of my stay was how healthy and genuinely delicious the food was. I’d just come in from Louisiana and needed a break from rich, heavy meals like crawfish and gumbo, so the lighter, wellness-focused dishes on offer felt like a much-needed reset.

Since I wanted to give my clients a complete picture, I made a point of trying every food and beverage outlet on property.

The resort’s signature restaurant is Florie’s, a Mediterranean-inspired concept by Mauro Colagreco—the chef behind Mirazur in France, which was once ranked the best restaurant in the world. The space is split into a lounge bar and a restaurant, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Florie’s is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Interestingly, quite a few of the staff at Florie’s were French, likely brought in by the chef himself, which added an authentic feel to the experience.

Breakfast was included through Four Seasons Preferred Partner, with a daily credit of up to $116—more than enough. I loved starting my day here. After spending most of the year in Mexico, I wasn’t expecting much, but the huevos rancheros were some of the most authentic I’ve had in the U.S. The fruit plate was beautifully fresh and sliced to order, and the wellness options on the menu were spot on.

On my final evening, I enjoyed a full dinner at Florie’s and it didn’t disappoint. I started with the chilled green pea soup, which was incredibly refreshing in the Florida heat, followed by the grouper with potatoes and seasonal vegetables. The portions were generous but well balanced, so I skipped dessert. The whole meal felt like fine dining, but in a relaxed Palm Beach way.

One thing worth mentioning: Florie’s takes its last seating at 9 p.m., which felt a bit early to me. Upon further research, most places in the area seem to keep similar hours.

For lunch, I tried Seaway, the resort’s beachfront spot. It’s fully open-air, with tables well spaced out and a casual bar overlooking the ocean. The setting was stunning and the service especially warm and attentive.

The menu here focuses on fresh seafood and light salads, though they also offer burgers and steaks for something more familiar. Like everywhere else at the resort, the emphasis was on quality ingredients, and everything I tried was fresh, balanced, and well prepared.

Overall, I couldn’t find a single thing to fault when it came to dining at the resort.

In there living room there was a good sized work desk. During our stay, I had some early morning Zoom meetings so I could easily do my work in the living area and close the door to the bedroom to not wake my partner up. The only design flaw that I noticed with this area is the lack of power points to plug laptops and phones in (a hotel room can never have enough plugs), I did mention this to management and they said that they are aware of this and are in the process of installing more plugs. For those doing a ‘working from vacation’, despite the jungle location the Wi-Fi and phone signal here worked perfectly and coped with all my work needs such as video calls.

What Surprised Me Most

Some might assume that visiting a part of the U.S. known for its political and business heavyweights would feel a bit intimidating—but honestly, it’s not like that at all. If anything, it’s the complete opposite. The vibe at Four Seasons Palm Beach is relaxed, welcoming, and totally unpretentious.

What really surprised me was how laid-back the atmosphere felt—especially for a luxury hotel in this part of the world. Most of the guests were couples or families on vacation, and there was none of that stuffy or cliquey Palm Beach energy you sometimes run into.

It was easygoing from the start. The crowd here is genuinely interesting, and I really enjoyed the casual conversations I had with a few people around the pool and at the bar.

How Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach Compares to Other Luxury Resorts

Compared to other five-star hotels in the area like Eau Palm Beach or The Breakers, Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach feels more intimate and residential. While The Breakers offers grandeur and historic charm, the Four Seasons stands out for its modern simplicity, attentive service, and beachfront tranquility. It’s ideal if you’re looking for luxury without the scene.

Who Is Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach Best For?

  • Couples – Romantic beach setting with spa and ocean views.
  • Families – Adjoining rooms and direct pool access make it easy.
  • Solo travelers – Quiet, safe, and comfortable with strong service.
  • Pet owners – Dog-friendly rooms with balcony space and beach paths. In fact I believe this is the only luxury pet friendly hotel on in the area.
