How to make a Hyatt Privé reservation

Hyatt Privé reservations are unable to be made online.

As per Hyatt policy reservations can only be made with a travel agent that is a member of the Hyatt Privé program, such as Clements Travel.

The easiest way is to do this over contact us for a quote of the property that you want to stay at. Once this is done the reservation process is very quick, mainly due to the payment being taken at the hotel when you arrive.

As a reminder Clements Travel does not charge any sort of fee for making Hyatt reservations.

The Hyatt Privé benefits program is one of the best hotel programs in the travel industry

Previously you would need World of Hyatt Globalist status to get all of the above Hyatt Privé benefits and to get Globalist status you would have had to stayed at Hyatt for a total of 60-nights in a single year first.

By booking through a Hyatt Privé travel agent such as Clements Travel you can bypass the Globalist requirements and get straight in to getting valuable benefits such a complimentary breakfast, hotel credits, upgrades plus at participating Hyatt properties.

In fact, we believe the Hyatt Privé program is slightly better in our opinion. For example Hyatt Privé reservations are usually upgraded in the first 24 hours, whereas a Hyatt Globalist booking is not upgraded until arrival. Plus with Hyatt Prive most properties will give you a hotel credit to spend at the hotel or resort..

Does it cost more to book a Hyatt Privé Rates?

Hyatt Privé room and suite rates are exactly the same as the standard rates on the Hyatt website.

In most cases, your chosen Hyatt hotel will let you know within 24-hours if your reservation has been upgraded. Both rooms and suites can be upgraded.

DOES CLEMENTS TRAVEL CHARGE A FEE FOR MAKING A hyatt privé RESERVATION?

Many other travel agencies charge hotel booking fees but Clements Travel does not charge a fee for booking any sort of hotel.

In fact we do not take any payment from you as payment is made to the hotel directly, usually at check in.

Can World of Hyatt members still earn points on a Hyatt Privé booking?

You can still get World of Hyatt points and earn status towards Hyatt status when you book Hyatt Privé rates.

You can also use your points credit card, such as the World Of Hyatt credit card to pay for the your reservation and earn even more points.

Is a minimum night stay required in order to get Hyatt Privé benefits?

The minimum night stays vary slightly, it all depends on the Hyatt brand that you want to stay at:

No minimum stay – Park Hyatt, Miraval, Andaz or Thompson Hotels

Two-night minimum stay – Alila, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, Destination by Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Centric, and JdV by Hyatt.

Three-night minimum stay – Hyatt Zilara and Hyatt Ziva

Can a World of Hyatt upgrade certificate be applied to a Hyatt privé reservation?

A World of Hyatt upgrade certificate can be added to a Hyatt Privé reservation.

Once you have made a Hyatt reservation then we can help you apply your upgrade certificate.

World of Hyatt – The Loyalty Program of Hyatt Hotels and Resorts

World of Hyatt is the loyalty program of Hyatt. Essentially it works like any other hotel loyalty program, stay and spend at a Hyatt property or spend with any of their affiliate partners and you will get points to redeem against future stays.

Affiliate partners where you can earn World of Hyatt points are:

• Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH)
• MGM Resorts
• FIND Experiences
• Lindblad Expeditions
• American Airlines and over 25 other airline partners
• Avis Car Rentals

There are other bonuses to the World of Hyatt program as well, the most popular is staying one night at five different Hyatt brands and Hyatt will reward you with a voucher to use at any of their category 1 – 4 hotels.

You can enroll with World of Hyatt here but in saying this you don’t need to be a member to make a Hyatt Privé reservation.

Hyatt is one of the fastest growing hotel brands in the world

Hyatt used to mainly concentrate their hotels in the United States but this is no longer the case. They have spent the last few years, and continue to do so opening new properties all over the world.

Openings in 2022 that excited us were Andaz Prague & Andaz Mexico City Condesa plus the IL Tornabuoni Hotel in Florence Italy. They also completed a renovation of the Hôtel Du Palais Biarritz which is a firm favorite for many of our clients.

In 2023, things get even more exciting with the Park Hyatt Marrakech and Park Hyatt London River Thames opening up. Many Andaz branded properties will continue to open such as the Andaz Miami Beach and Andaz Bangkok.

Hyatt Privé vs Virtuoso

Virtuoso works in a similar fashion to Hyatt Privé. Over 2000 premium hotels, including many Hyatt properties around the globe are a member of the Virtuoso program. In most cases the benefits with Virtuoso are the same as Hyatt Privé – complimentary breakfast, hotel credits, upgrades plus more.

Virtuoso benefits cannot be used in conjunction with Hyatt Privé benefits.

Hyatt Hotels and Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH)

Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) is a hotel agency that represents over 3600 luxury, boutique type hotels around the globe. Think Calala Island in Nicaragua, the Viceroy in Bali and the Canaves properties in Santorini.

Hyatt has a partnership where guest can earn Hyatt points and status when staying at a Small Luxury Hotel of the World.

Unfortunately, Hyatt Privé benefits cannot be added to Small Luxury Hotels of the World bookings. There is a solution though, Small Luxury Hotels of the World have their own program that is very similar and that is called SLH Within. Clements Travel is also a member of this program.
